Professor Sándor Imre, Head of Department of Networked Systems and Services at the Budapest University of Technology (BME) and Balázs Visky, Head of the IP Network Development Office at KIFÜ, both QCIHungary team members, participated in the workshop organised by the Romanian National QCI Project in Iași between 20 and 21 June.
The aim of the workshop was to present the achievements of the RoNaQCI project so far, to exchange experiences among national QCI projects, and to discuss transnational cooperation possibilities.
One of the highlights was the presentation of the QKD Network Simulator, a software tool which allows simulating the layers of complex QKD networks (including KMS, vaults, use-cases, behaviours). Participants also enjoyed the research session regarding QKD network behaviours, by the Quantum Team at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UNSTPB) led by prof. Pantelimon George Popescu.
From our team Balázs Visky had the opportunity to present the QCIHungary project. The international attendees, among them Ilias Papastamatiou, PhD from HellasQCI, Piotr Rydlichowski from Poland’s PIONIER-Q project and Professor Sándor Imre were also invited to sessions discussing future collaboration opportunities.
