2024.05.27. /Posted byQCI Hungary

Between 14-17 May, members of the QCIHungary project visited Singapore. The researchers from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), László Bacsárdi, Head of the Mobile Communication and Quantum Technologies Laboratory, Márton Czermann and Máté Galambos, PhD students at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics participated three quantum communication events in Singapore.

On May 14-16, they participated the ETSI/IQC Quantum Safe Cryptography Conference organized by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). On May 17, they participated the „Insights on QKD & QKDN certification: Recent developments and challenges” workshop organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

During their stay, a presentation on quantum computing and communication was given on 14 May at the invitation of the Embassy of Hungary in Singapore, where the quantum communication activities at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics were presented, and the developments and plans of the QCIHungary project were also reported. The events offered opportunity to reconnect colleagues as well as to make new connections.
