The Budapest University of Technology and Economics opened its doors again this year for the Researchers’ Night. On 27 September, the BME Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics hosted presentations on quantum communication, as well. In the Mobile Communication and Quantum Technologies Laboratory of the BME Department of Network Systems and Services, participants of our “Quantum Communication at first hand” programme could get acquainted with the quantum-based key distribution system developed by the University of Technology (QKD) equipment and a quantum random number generator based on the optical principle developed in-house. The developments in the lab are also linked to the QCIHungary project.
