Satellite quantum communications at the Academy

At the invitation of the Deputy Secretary General of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, László Bacsárdi gave a lecture on satellite quantum communication.

László Bacsárdi, Associate Professor at the BME Faculty of Electrical Engineering and was invited to give a lecture on quantum communication at the Science Celebration+ event organised on the occasion of the Hungarian Science Day on 14 November at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

László Bacsárdi presented some of the technological challenges of satellite quantum communication and then took part in a panel discussion. In the other chair was the host of the evening, Kitti Oláh from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Kitti is one of the first students of the space engineering master program at the BME Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics and is currently working on her thesis on quantum communications.

László Bacsárdi talked about the quantum communication activities of Quantum Information National Laboratory of Hungary and the objectives of the QCIHungary consortium, which is implementing the European quantum communication infrastructure in Hungary.
